Smarter Dust Control for Heavy Industrial Yards

Dust Control for Heavy Industrial Yards

Industrial dust control is a daily challenge across ports, precast concrete plants, waste transfer stations, recycling facilities, quarries, foundries, and pipe yards. Every truck that rolls through these sites stirs up a storm of fine particulate dust that lingers in the air, coating machinery, equipment, and nearby buildings. It’s more than an eyesore, it can lead to air quality complaints, reduced visibility, and costly maintenance.

With a single application of DustLess®, the dust stops, not for a few hours, but for months. This industrial-grade dust suppressant creates a clean, stable surface that resists heavy traffic and harsh weather. The result is a noticeable transformation; a yard that feels cleaner, safer, and dust-free.

DirtGlue® and DustLess® are industry proven, long-lasting dust control solutions engineered to perform. When used at industrial facilities, DirtGlue® and DustLess® prevent airborne dust at the source, saving water, labor, and operational costs.

Facilities using DirtGlue® and DustLess® report:

  • Up to 95% Reduction in airborne dust
  • Over 90% Less water for dust control
  • Fewer complaints and compliance issues
  • Improved visibility and cleaner site appearance

Whether you manage a port, precast yard, foundry, or industrial facility, DirtGlue® and DustLess® help you stay compliant with air quality regulations, protect workers, and operate more efficiently, all while supporting your sustainability goals.

Suppressing the Dust Kicked Up By 2020 (and Moving Forward)!

From the desk of our founder, Chris Rider:

It’s certainly been a trying year for everyone here domestically, and abroad. For us at Global Environmental Solutions, we’ve long entered a “new year” full of optimism and hope. And that won’t change. A challenge is literally at the root of all of our work.

Upon entering 2020 as a “new year” we had opportunities, plans, and great expectations for GES products and solutions. We approach each year open to new discoveries and opportunities. This year the universe definitely had other plans and different opportunities.

As we now enter December 2020 – the final month in this ongoing annual chapter, we hope that we’ve seen the last of what has been an exceptionally tumultuous year – and moment in our collective existence. With the pandemic we saw many small business closings, protests that sometimes led to riots, political tension, etc. In short, it hasn’t been an easy year no matter the vantage point.

Domestically and internationally the pandemic squelched or delayed many of our plans. Worldwide distribution became a challenge and our partners across the globe were feeling the weight of this.

In every situation there is a downside and a upside. Our upside is, GES soldiered on through the pandemic inflicted year that marked 2020 – a historic part of history that nobody will ever forget. We have added to our USA distributor network and welcomed GrowBIG…ogh as our West Coast distributor. GrowBIG…ogh has really embraced the technology and is running in high gear. We’re excited for the prospects of this relationship and growing others as well.

We’re hopeful that 2021 will evolve to the point whereby the pandemic will be a thing of the past or at least be under control, and, together, we’ll all grow in a positive and forwardly progressive way.

We’re up for the challenge. And we’ll continue to soldier on – no matter the hurdles “life” throws at us.

If you’ve got a project you’re in the midst of plotting and need help in managing the physical properties of the terrain of the project, give us a shout. We look forward to hearing from you in the new year and beyond.

Here’s to a happy and healthful new year from our family to yours.

GES: For the Earth, with the Earth in mind.

Name: Rose Cyr
Title: Inside Sales & Marketing Manager

How long have you been working at Global Environmental Solutions, and what brought you here initially?

It will be 4 years on December 5, 2020! I was approached by Jean LoPizzo, GES Director of Operations. Jean and I have worked together over the past 30 years at two different medical supply companies. Although DirtGlue was already a well-known industry leader in the development and distribution of green soil stabilization solutions to a host of industrial for both wind and water erosion control, the principals felt there was a need to refocus on refreshing the brand as an environmentally safe and conscious company.

What is your favorite thing about working at GES? What keeps you getting up and punching into work every morning?

My favorite thing about working at GES is that the possibilities of our products is endless! I never really thought about dust and erosion control until working here! There are so many markets for these products. I learn about a new application on a consistent basis, from industrial use down to the do-it-yourself homeowner. Working closely with Chris Rider, Founder & Chief Technology Officer, I have learned that every challenge is worth investigating and most times we can provide a solution for our customer!

What is one thing you want your current customers / potential customers to know about you (as an individual)? What makes you, you?

Superior customer service is number one! I expect GES to provide our customers as well as our prospects with the highest level of customer service that we expect to receive from our suppliers. From the moment a lead is generated, we reach out in a timely fashion and follow through with that lead until product is applied and our customer is happy! Our policy of continuous follow up is key to customer satisfaction.

What’s one memorable moment that you’ve experienced at GES that sticks out in your mind?

I was fortunate enough to travel to Australia and visit with our rest-of-world distribution team. It was so beneficial and interesting to meet the team and review their GES projects with them and to share marketing ideas. I am so grateful I got the chance to meet face-to-face with these folks before our world turned upside down by this Covid-19 pandemic.

What is one thing you want your current customers / potential customers to know about soil management / control and your work at GES? Why is this work important?

We are proud to offer eco-friendly products to the market and we continue to research & develop new forward-thinking soil stabilization and dust control products.

In your opinion, what is one thing we can all do to make the earth a cleaner, healthier place?

Humans continue to impact the physical environment in many ways which has resulted in climate change, soil erosion, poor air quality, and undrinkable water. Be proactive when researching products to ensure they are safe for the environment. If you wouldn’t use the product at your home and around your family, don’t use it for your commercial project. We are proud to offer products that are for the earth, with the earth in mind.
